I took the following photos in Los Angeles during our 1999 4th of July weekend getaway. We mostly hung around with friends, but we did have a few adventures (like a rare trip to downtown L.A. from the famous intersection of Hollywood and Vine via the brand new L.A. subway line and watching fireworks while having dinner at the futuristic new restaurant called Encounter at LAX). I think these photos capture some fun and interesting moments in our big, glamorous neighbor to the south.
